How to Hike - National Trails Day

Interested in hiking and enjoying nature but haven’t made the effort yet to get outside? Come join us at the refuge for a fun introduction to hiking! Learn about the benefits of hiking, what you need, safety, and how to plan your next hiking adventure.
This class covers the basics of hiking: gear, clothing, trip planning, food, navigation, safety, and local destinations.
